cricket at its down slide...........

when it was seeming to be start of new era in Pakistan cricket, they are hit by another scandal, few of their key players have been accused to be involved in match fixing. acc to British tabloid the ongoing lords test match is supposed to be fixed and few Pakistani players were paid to under perform. as long as its not being proven, they remain to be innocent, but certainly Pakistan cricket has tendency to land up in controversy, be it ball tampering or match fixing.

its very difficult to imagine , the quality bowler like aamir being involved in fixing, he id an enormous talent and arguably the best swing bowler in todays scenario. but its unfortunate for Pakistan to see him in this recent controversy

coming back to Indian cricket, Indian cricket which  itself had faced allegation of match fixing in recent years have faced another embarrassment this time, allegation of auction fixing. csk is supposed to have fixed the auction for the buying flintoff.

cricket wise , Indian team certainly found themselves on wrong side off umpiring decisions once again, they again had to face many dubious decisions, which some wht have made impact on the result of their certain pool games. Sri Lanka tactics of  bowling no ball to sehwag  was perhaps the biggest blot in cricket history and it throws the concept of gentleman's game out of window.

india vs srilanka 2010 test series

yet another series between the neighbouring countrie.......... Its truely goona be hard fough contest between the two best test sides  in the world.Srilanka playing in their home conditions are gonna be favourite to win , but india are ranked as best in the world at present.Day one saw lack luster performance by Indian bowlers.India who are already short of bowlers survived a scare when harbhajan was nearly injured as well. bowlers were just passing through the motions itself that day, its seemed like they had literally given up. day 2 was lost because of rain and hence reduced the duration of the match. today for first session Indian bowlers bowled well , ishant sharma seemed finally understand wht he was asked to do . But after lunch sessions seemed disastrous for india. Tail enders literally frustrated India to the core. herath and malinga scored their maiden half centuries and thanks for declaration , India innings started else it seemed Lankan batsman wont get out only.

india however has had the bad start loosing gambhir, dravid and tendulkar, three of the best batsman of spins . The pitch would detoriate further and spinners would come in to picture.Murali playing in his last test with crowd backing him is gonna be the danger man for India, but on other side sehwag looks to be in very good touch. If he and laxman could string a big partnership tom, india could very well be out of trouble.However cricket is very unpredictable game, u never know wht gonna happen tom untill it happens.

hope tom gonna be good day for batsman and indian batsman could post a big total, after the disappointment from bowlers , its left to batsman to stamp their authority as being best team in the world.

Bhopal gas tragedy: a mockery of justice

Finally the day came  when the sentence for the guilty pronounced in bhopal gas trage was announced. the sentence came as a shock than relief to the families who lost their near and dear in the infamous gas leak. Firstly it took 25 years for the trial to come to its conclusion and when the sentence came  , it brought shock than relief.Is this not slap on face of Indian judiciary that the cases takes 20 -30 years to be decided. Anyways verdict had to come and those selected few who still had a faith in indian judiciary system had surprise awaiting for them.For the death of 20000 people who had died in gas tragedy , the accused were booked in section where in the max punishment will be 2 yr imprisonment and some fine. Is this the justice delivered for the ppl. Does 20000 lives value only 2 years, in fact the sentence would have brought more pain to families of the victim than if the sentence had not been pronounced.

Indian judiciary needs to do a serious introspection about their standard, pretty sure the same case in us would not have taken more than 2 years, Then again when Indian judiciary takes two years to pronounce sentence for a terrorist, these are the Indians only.

sad to see the pathetic state and hope the government wakes up and situation improves in days to come.

team india miserable performance continues

yet another pathetic display by team india on show only this time it was expected.... it not only shows the lack of bench strength in india, but also the miserable techniques of some yound indian batsman who have been bought up on batting friendly pitches. losing to minnows like zimbabwe has send alarming signals if this performance continues we could very well say good by to world cup again this time.

Time has come for bcci to stop experimentation and stick to one squad whom the wanna pick fro world cup, doing so would create momentum which is necessary for team India before they could play world cup next year. good that BCCI has recalled seniors for the asia cup. Team in Zimbabwe lacked complete experience and it proved them dearly. Its hearting sign that BCCI has dropped player like yuvraj singh, who more that cricketing reason is suffering from attitude problem. its time when team should sit with him and give him last chance for good. No doubt yuvraj is an match winner on his day and india would dearly love to have him in any tournament. Another omission i liked is yusuf pathan,.

He is the classic case of batsman , who has failed to make big on international arena. I personally believe talent like him is wasted at 6 , he should rather be sent in at 3 when the power play is on, because any such he gonna struggle later against short pitch stuff unless he doesn work on his game. Although rohit sharma played well in Zimbabwe, he needs to work on his fitness, his lazy attitude could become a problem for team India.

hope team india starts to perform better and this time we lift the prestigious cup at our soil.
